This post is sponsored by Wellness® and the BlogPaws TM Pet Influencer NetworkTM . I am being sponsored to help share the availability of Wellness Products at PetSmart, but we only share information we feel is relevant to our readers. Neither Wellness nor PetSmart is responsible for the content of this article.
Since I've gone "grain free" for nearly seven years, we chose Wellness® Complete Health® Line, Grain Free to sample. Parental Unit played it safe with my taste buds and chose chicken as the primary protein source since I'm a big fan of poultry. Of course, the first ingredient is deboned chicken, followed by primarily fruits and vegetables, grain free carbs and no artificial colors or flavors, fillers or preservatives!
And we were fortunate to have a nice PetSmart employee help us out. Can you tell that I want a "taste of the GOOD LIFE", too?
Can we take home one of each?
You already know that Parental Unit is what folks used to call a "health food nut" and continues her own quest for "wellness" by eating fresh, healthy foods and exercising — with me by her side! What we particularly love about the Wellness brand is their proactive approach to your pets' health, meaning their focus is on helping pet parents create and maintain health and wellness rather than simply treating disease after it occurs.
In fact, they've developed what they call the "5 Signs of Wellness" to help pet parents assess the health of their four-legged companions: 1. Skin and Coat; Digestive Health; Eyes,Teeth and Gums; Energy; and Immunity. Just substitute "hair" for "coat' and these are the same markers humans typically use to assess their health!
Will you stop yer yackin' and get me out of this cart, Parental Unit?
But wait, there's more to learn! These 5 Signs of Wellness reveal how your pup looks, acts and feels every day, and they're all interrelated. For example, making sure your beloved dog gets the highest quality food and lots of physical and mental exercise contributes directly to achieving the highest marks for each of these five signs of wellness, just as it does for humans.
Uh, am I going to get to try my new Wellness Complete Health Grain Free food, or are just going to stand there taking pictures?
Update: Parental Unit has been slowly adding some Wellness to my current kibble and I'm lovin' it! Stay tuned...

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to share with you some first-hand information about one of our favorite pet food brands: Wellness! Parental Unit fed this food to my predecessor, the ornery Wire Fox terrier, Carson, and now she's in the process of transitioning me to Wellness. We'll be sharing my progress over the next few months, and we'll look forward to chatting with you about the Wellness brand and any thoughts you might have about transitioning your pooch to a new food.

We paid a visit to our local PetSmart store and posed in front of the Wellness display to show you the wide variety that is the Wellness brand. And they're all available at PetSmart, both at your local store and online.
