We love hearing and passing on the creative ways individuals and businesses collaborate to help pets get adopted in their communities and across the world. This article from The New York Times blog, "In Transit, A Guide To Intelligent Travel", highlights the Hacienda San Angel, an upscale boutique hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, which has partnered with its local SPCA to get their rescued dogs adopted: any visitor gets one free night's stay at their hotel if they adopt a dog from the SPCA.
The interesting angle to this story is that the owner of the hotel also founded the local SPCA chapter in 2007, and started its "Puppy Love" program shortly thereafter. And she made sure to emphasize that the rooms at the SPCA are spacious, and that the rescued pups have a "large garden and grassy areas in which to play." We think this is a super idea and shouldn't be limited to cities where one person owns both the hotel and the rescue. What do you think?

That is a great idea and well done to the hotel owner. Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly
I love the idea. I always thought that if I owned a business I would work something out with the local shelter for new owners. I hope others catch on.
