October Is A Great Month To...Adopt A Dog!

Yes, I am an adopted dog from the shelter and proud of it!

Parental Unit mentioned to me that October is probably her favorite month of the year-it must bring back good memories of walking to Friday night football games in the crisp, cool air, the crunch of leaves underfoot, eating everything made of pumpkin, drinking hot chocolate...well, all that will have to wait since it's in the 80's and humid here in Ohio-aaach!

Nevertheless, there's another reason to celebrate October: It's Adopt A Shelter Dog Month! And those fabulous folks at Petfinder.com have put together lots of great ideas for you to help spread the word, even if you can't adopt a pooch this month. The ASPCA is also geared up to help us all get involved and promote this special month, with great ideas about how to choose the right pooch for you and to successfully integrate a shelter dog into your home.
