When we saw this message from Cesar Millan today, we immediately decided to scrap our chosen pet health care tips slated for today's post, and bring you these powerful ideas instead. The main idea of this advice from Cesar, as we see it, is that you'll have a lot fewer problems with your dog,, training and otherwise, if you take the time beforehand to choose the right canine for you. And if family members are involved, they must be included in the initial decision and the lifetime commitment that follows. And it's much more about you and your family and what you can handle rather than any particular dog or breed.
Oftentimes, bringing a new canine family member into your home is an emotional decision: you just lost your aging pooch and you're grieving and lonely, your child wants a dog, you just broke up with your partner and you're...grieving and lonely-the list goes on. But the best thing you can do for yourself, your human pack and your future four-legged family member is to (at least temporarily!) replace emotion with logic, and ask yourself and your pack the substantive questions posed in this article before you head to the shelter or reputable breeder.
