Sorry about not posting this piece the other day as we promised-we've had a few computer problems that we hope are resolved.
Anyway, do you all remember the first time I presented a lecture to the students in the MFA program at the Columbus College of Art and Design? If not, refresh your memory of this cataclysmic event here: www.boccibeefs.com/2010/10/has-grad-school-gone-to-dogs.html
Here's a photo of me and the class professor, Ms. Belland, during that first lecture, way back in 2010. As you'll see, neither of us has aged a bit!
I was asked back again this year to provide my learned opinion to Professor Belland's "Digital Culture" class, and I happily obliged. Her students are creating blogs as part of their assignments, and naturally, she asked me to provide my insight into the blogging process.
To start off: Here's a shot of Parental Unit's materials that she considered "must haves" for this most recent lecture: my traveling water bowl, my treats, my toys...and a few things for her, too.
I thought I'd better do a preliminary check to see if each student brought their homework to class...
And it doesn't hurt to make nice with the students one-on-one...
And it sure doesn't hurt to ask if there are treats involved again this year...well?
Here's a partial group shot before my lecture. As you can see, I'm deep in thought, but Professor Belland (far left) is smiling already!
And here's a class shot taken right after my remarks-the class is electrified as you can see - they practically carried me out on their shoulders!
Once again, we'd like to extend out thanks to Professor Belland and her class for so graciously hosting Parental Unit and me-we had a great time!

Well done! Where I teach, there's a big sign saying that dogs are not allowed on campus. How are people to learn properly without dogs around?
Awe, that's so sad! We love dogs at CCAD!
Oh oh my goodness. You may be teaching the class next time
