Willow the cat at home in Princetown, England
We couldn't help but pass on this charming story about yet another beloved pet reunited with its owners by way of a microchip. A black kitty named Willow was let outside to play from its home in Princetown, England one day in 2007, and didn't return home until just after Christmas this year. The family, who had long since given up hope of finding Willow, received a call from the "Gables Farm Dogs' and Cats' Home" located about 20 miles across the moors from their home, thanks to Willow's implanted microchip.
Willow is apparently easing back into domesticated life, although she's a bit more timid than the family remembers her. But "She's now getting lots and lots of TLC, lots of cuddles and more cats' toys than you an imagine." The family's six year old daughter had vague memories of Willow, but she's a "delightful" new addition for their second daughter, now two.
I guess the morals of this story might be: never give up hope...and get your pets micro-chipped!
Question: How many of you have had your pets micro-chipped?

Wow, what an inspiring story! My dog doesn't have a microchip, but after seeing this miracle, it seems like it might be worth looking into! Thanks for the inspirational story... it definitely put a smile on my face!

Thanks for posting this story. All my guys (and all my rescues) are microchipped... But I must admit that my Danish import hasn't had his chip details registered in Australia. It hardly seems worthwhile, considering he'll be going to Canada in a few months time!
