Uncle Chichi, the toy poodle whose longevity led to fame-along with an appearance on "Good Morning America" when he was in his twenties, passed away from cancer last week. Estimates indicate that he was somewhere between 24 and 26 years young.

Although Uncle Chichi, or "the Cheech" as he was affectionately known, had shown signs of advanced aging for at least the last decade, he had always "sprung back" to walk the streets of his West Village neighborhood in New York, according to a recent article in The Times.
In the last few months of his wonderfully long life, his owners took him on a whirlwind tour of Europe, snapping souvenir photos along the way. "...the more time we spent with him, the more and more we loved him. We didn't know that was possible."
Here's to "the Cheech" and his dedicated owners!
