And we're not talking hefty in size. We just read this piece in the Huffington Post, about Tommaso, a stray kitty from the streets of Rome adopted by an Italian heiress. Well, you guessed it: the 94 year old woman, Maria Assunta, recently passed away and left her entire fortune, estimated at 10 million euro ($13 million), to Tommaso via the care of a trusted nurse. Apparently, Italian law does not allow a pet to inherit directly.

Wouldn't that be something if Tommaso's fortune *was* used to help all those homeless cats? :)
