We're sad to report that Tarra, an elephant living in a sanctuary just south of Tennessee, recently lost her best friend: a mutt named Bella who'd been her constant companion for over a decade. Although we didn't post the original segment from CBS Sunday Morning about this unusual duo, this follow-up segment below, aired just this past Sunday.
We wish we could say that dear Bella died of old age, but it appears that she was attacked by coyotes on the sanctuary property. This recent update holds a bit of a surprise, however, so take a few minutes to watch it, if you didn't catch it on Sunday.

A transport pal who often fosters some Sibes and The Like lives in Western TN and lost one of her Sibes to khoyotes on her property -

We saw their story on TV awhile back ago and throught it was so touching. But OMG, I am so sad to hear that the pup was attacked by coyotes. That is SO sad. :(
