Can you say, "Spa Vacation"? Good-because that's what your beloved pet will have when you wing it to a business conference or a vacation of your own-that is if you leave your four-legged pal at one of the dozen or so airports in the United States that have pet-stay facilities nearby. If you don't believe us, check out this recent article in the business section of the New York Times, aptly titled, "When the Fur Doesn't Fly":
www.nytimes.com/2011/05/05/business/05PET.htmlscp=1&sq=When%20the%20Fur%20doesn't%20Fly&st=Search.
Enter companies like Pet Paradise Resorts and Paradise4Paws that boast high end amenities like a bone-shaped swimming pool, lots of green space, special treats and massages, and perhaps more importantly, convenience for the owners. They can drop off their dog or cat just prior to catching their flight, park their car and take a shuttle right to their gate-pick-up and drop-off is 24/7. And of course, they have real-time web cams that allow owners to see their pets living the high life. We love this!
Now the prices are a bit more than your average kennel, about $34-$37 a night plus extras, but we think we're worth it. How about you? Would you go high end for convenience and the hope that your pets would be more comfortable? We'd love to hear your opinions!
Here I am all ready to go with my new Kyjen Backpack-as you can see, I travel light...
