Cats From Hell And...Cats To Help

We just had to pass on this hilarious NewYork Times review of a new reality television show called, "My Cat From Hell". The show will air Saturday nights on Animal Planet.

It sounds like the show itself will be quite entertaining (although its description sounds like an exact replica of The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan), but despite its "copycat" format-you'll excuse the pun-it's the review that had us in stitches. The New York Times writer, Neil Genzlinger, seems to like both the show and cats, and he does a great job of contrasting what he calls "most cats" with the evil-eyed monsters depicted on this show: "Most cats, though, know how to balance their evil tendencies with general adorableness, so that their owners are too busy reaching for the video camera to notice the claw marks on their upholstery and the blood on their arms." Ha! We loved this piece and hope you will to: enjoy the full article here: tv.nytimes.com/2011/05/07/arts/television/my-cat-from-hell-on-animal-planet.html?src=me&ref=arts

Ha my foot paw! Does this give you a hint of what our sweet looking Ms. Bella gets away with in my our house?

And about those cats to help...As we were blog hopping yesterday, we came across this important post on one of our favorite blogs, Cat Chat, that discussed a new "spring campaign" on Facebook by the folks at Carol's Ferals to raise funds for spaying and neutering programs for feral cats. Check it out here:
opcatchat.blogspot.com/2011/05/michigan-help-carols-ferals-double-your.html. And let's see what we all can do to pitch in as our budgets allow.

And last, but certainly not least, we want to wish all of you Moms out there, whether human or furkid Moms (or both) a Happy Mother's Day!

We had a C.A.T encounter this morning. A black cat with white paws sitting at the end of our driveway just as I, Just Harry, was about to take my morning promenade. Said C.A.T. refused to move and even curled its tail at me. It was almost a standoff -- Mom not wanting to have a hissing/growling fight. Fortunately someone made noise at the end of the block and C.A.T scurried off.

Then we saw the ducklings and Mom had to come back for the photo. Sad thing though -- a new "litter" starts out with more than a dozen and then gets smaller and smaller with every day that goes by. She missed the best picture -- Mama Muscovy surrounded by her brood -- but when she went back, she found them busy pecking away and even Papa Muscovy came by to check things out.

Wirey woofs,

Just Harry

We were going to watch the show last night but never quite got around to it. I may have to try and catch it next week!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! For featuring Carol's Ferals AND for the shout out to Cody and I!!
We tweeted this and posted it on both of our Facebook pages as well as Carol's Ferals!
We also added you to our blogroll. We were already following you but for some reason Blogger doesn't display every blog that I am following. I did add your name on the main blogroll and I believe it is showing!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY and THANK YOU AGAIN!

Mom watched the show. And now she swears she will never call Ivy evil again....watching those cats she decided everyone in our house is very gracious and civilized. :) But it was fun to watch was we like Jackson (maybe we could get him to visit us in O-hi-O to talk about Junior).
