Bonding With Pets Equals Human Health Benefits

From stress reduction to reduced blood pressure and pain relief, owning at least one pet (like 62% of the U.S. population) can have significant health benefits. We read this article published on the Huffington Post just this morning, with great interest. Written by Amy D. Shojai, an animal behavior consultant and author of 23 pet care books, these health benefits are explained with a level of detail we've not seen before. For example, did you know that "Having a pet is a stress buffer and the closer the bond, the greater the relief"?

Check out the full article here: www.huffingtonpost.com/amy-d-shojai-cabc/pets-lower-stress_b_867025.html. There's also lots of great links on this and related topics, both in the text of this article and below-enjoy!

Hi Y'all,

I'm so big I prefer my own bed. It does help when my humans stroke behind my ears. Lots of times my Human Momma gives me a massage.

Y'all come by now,
