Polar Bears and Dogs...Playing?
Although this two minute video from First Science TV has been seen almost five million times, it was news to Parental Unit and me. The scientists who conducted this "experiment" (what it looks like to us as lay observers is a "play date"), provide interesting voiceover commentary to the snow-filled shenanigans. We found it both enlightening and downright charming. You can even download the full documentary if you choose.
Enjoy!

I loved this video when I first saw it back when it went viral. Inter-species play is fascinating stuff. Thanks for giving me a chance to watch it again!
That is a good video but it does scare me a little when the bear takes the dog in his mouth. But I am sure that guy knows what is going on. It is so interesting to see different species get along. Happy New Year.
Mom and me never get tired of watchin' dis video, tanks fur sharin' it. :)

I love this video, and wish people could get along as well as animals!
We've never watched this video before either!! How super adorable!!!!
I've never seen that video before. It's amazing! But, I'd be scared to have my dogs be "bear hugged" like that!

You know, Parental Unit and I didn't even think of "bear hugs"-ha!
I LOVE this video. I wish more people could see it - especially those who don't understand why saving the polar bears is important. Thanks!
