Here's the deal: For every adoption-oriented blog post entered into this blog hop, Iams will contribute 100 bowls of food to an Iams Home 4 the Holidays shelter in need-so write your post now!
Anyway, we were all asked to write a short post about how pet adoption has affected our lives.
Well, I can tell you how it's affected mine-I have a fabulous forever home!
But I'm generous enough to let Parental Unit take a turn:
"I'd always gone to a breeder (reputable for sure) to get my other dogs-I was like most people, I wanted a puppy! But this time, I'd been reading more about adoption and had become friends with a woman who does Airedale and Wire Fox Terrier rescue in my state, so by the time my little Wire Fox boy Carson, left for the rainbow bridge, I knew that adoption was in my future.
Bocci, don't get a big head, but I can't imagine a better dog! And he was a puppy when I adopted him-just 8-10 months-so I got the best of both worlds. And after many purebreds, I was ready for a "blend", and somehow, Bocci, you're blended just right!
I couldn't be happier that I've chosen to adopt a loving dog from our local shelter. And I certainly never thought I'd get a dog who could write his own blog! See what you an find at the shelter!"
