Grooming Gone...Wild!

Well, actually more than wild - down right nutty if you ask me. There was a recent article in The New York Times Sports section, titled: "Where Creativity Wags Its Tail",  about a dog grooming competition called "Intergroom" (yes, you read that right, the Sports section!). These "groomers" start preparing their pooches (or ones they borrow for the event) up to six months in advance. They come up with all kinds of crazy lookin' stuff, like one Bichon Frise was clipped and dyed to look like Lady Gaga, and a poodle morphed into Elvis, comlete with guitar. When questioned whether the dogs minded all the fuss, one contestant replied,  "...All they know is that people are paying attention to them. They love it."
Geesh, I certainly love attention from my human friends, but I can think of more "dog-like" ways of getting attention, like, oh, playing fetch or running in the park, something along those lines.
To tell you the truth,  I'm exhausted from just reading about this-I'm going back to my spot on the sofa with "you know who" attached to my side.
